Halloween

Emma was Angelina Ballerina this year. Fiasco of the year went to the mouse ears that came from her easter bunny ears. The first clue that we should have abandoned the ears was when she was upset that she was wearing bunny ears instead of mouse ears. Every house she went to thought she was a bunny. She was very disappointed. We went to a party with some sweet friends from church. We had a great time hanging out together and there were plenty of kids running around. Emma was very overwhelmed and very quiet the entire time. She was done with trick-or-treating after about 3 houses and just sat eating a sucker until it was time to go home. Overall it was a fun night!

Emma Skype Trick-or-Treating with Grammy and Poppa. After this picture she did a nose dive and landed on her face. The night essentially went downhill from there.

Emma wanted the pumpkin not the candy.

Happy Halloween!

All of the kids...Jonah was the only boy.

Not a great picture but this is Emma with her sweet little friends Margot and Lucy.

Love it!

Pumpkin Farm

We had the chance to go to the Pumpkin Farm this morning. Mike was able to take some time away from work since he will be traveling. We had planned to go this past weekend but were not able to with a sick little girl. I was the perfect morning to be there. We were there before all of the school groups and it was cool enough to feel like fall but not too cold to enjoy it. Emma picked a pumpkin for herself and one for Jonah. So much fun!

Our little family

Taking it all in...she is a lot like me in that she gets so overwhelmed by new settings and just takes it all in. Mike is learning to not be disappointed by her lackluster reactions to things. If we had gone again tomorrow, she would have been squealing and running around instead of just watching and asking questions. She had a GREAT time!

Tired little Jonah enjoyed the fresh air. He fell back to sleep and snoozed just about the whole time.

So excited about Raggedy Ann!

Checking out the pumpkin people. The next few years will be fun once she knows all of the stories that go along with the different "scenes" at the farm - wizard of oz, 3 little pigs, billy goats gruff, etc.

Here I am!

This picture is for Sam. This tractor was huge and Emma was so excited to show it to Sam.

Daddy thought it was hilarious to have Emma sit in the "potty" house. Nice.

Snuggling with Mommy and catching a nap.

She had fun playing without the commotion of too many children.

This is the same wagon we took her picture in last year. So fun to see how much she has grown over the past year. It was exactly one year ago we went last year.

Sick Time

We have been battling colds for the past week and a half. This weekend Emma came down with a fever topping out at 102.9. Thankfully it seems to just be a fever. As soon as she had some medicine and the fever came down some, she was back up and playing. This picture, though, captures how sad she was. She spent time just laying on the sofa watching tv and wanting to be held. I am so thankful it was on a weekend where Mike was home so Emma could get the full TLC she needed. Now we are praying the fever passes Jonah by.

Emma Singing

Emma LOVES to sing. She now makes up her own songs along with walking around the house singing her favorite tunes. Grammy has taught Emma some Halloween songs which Emma is enjoying singing while she looks outside at all the pumpkins on our street.

Kiddos

New pics of each sweet kid. Daddy stole his attention away from the football game to capture these.

Playdough

Emma was given playdough for her birthday and we finally got it out and played this week. She played for a good 45 minutes and made almost no mess! Fun times!

Sue Sue Comes to Town

Aunt Sue came to visit this past week. We had a great time...walked 17 miles in two days, cut Emma's bangs, ate lots of yummy treats, had great talks, and so much more! It was a great visit and I have just a few pictures since I am so lazy with the camera. Thanks for coming, Sue Sue. We miss you already!

Sue Sue and Emma preparing for our first 5 mile walk.

As a reward for the 5 mile walk, Sue Sue got us cupcakes from the Sweeterie in Mariemont. SO GOOD! Emma ate the entire cupcake. Look at those eyes...don't mess with her!

Enjoying cupcakes together!

Snuggle time with Sue Sue. Jonah enjoyed cuddling with Sue Sue and loving on her!
